Our beloved guides, Sonam, Tenzin and Gyeltshen. Sonam is pure grace, Tenzin (our cook) is pure flirt and Gyeltshen our sure footed trailblazer and gentleman.

These paintings, to my surprise and delight are on the ceiling of a small shrine in the middle of nowhere - just along the trail that has been used for centuries. When I passed through, my fellow travelers were far away so I relished some moments there alone in silence. Very special.
